Myth: «Ukrainian daily vocabulary is just like Russian.»
Truth: While some words overlap due to shared Slavic origins, Ukrainian has unique daily vocabulary. For example, вітальня, снідати, and вечеряти (dinner) showcase Ukrainian's distinct lexicon!
Home vocabulary survived! During Russification, Ukrainian families preserved household words orally. Words like хата, світлиця, and горище (attic) remained in use for generations, keeping Ukrainian alive in the home.

Працювати + Instrumental = what you work AS Він працює лікарем. (He works as a doctor.) Вона працює вчителькою. (She works as a teacher.)
